J. George Warren (1921-1988)

George Warren was born on Gooseberry Island, Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland on October 16th, 1921 to parents Samuel and Lily Warren.
George graduated from Memorial University and was an accountant before becoming interested in politics. George married Mary in 1945. They would have three children, daughter Elaine and sons Wilfred and Sean. He was the assistant Deputy Minister of Public Works in Newfoundland from 1959 to 1963. He was appointed Deputy Minister in 1963. From 1962 to 1965 George was the Grand Master of the Grand Orange Lodge of Canada. George passed away in St. John's, Newfoundland on June 6th, 1988.
