Derry West Loyal Orange Lodge No. 10
Derry West, Ontario, Canada
About the Lodge
Early settler George Graham submitted the name Derry Wall's for the town in honour of his forefathers that fought at Londonderry, Ireland and also as a way of celebrating his family's Protestant Orange heritage.
The village was later renamed Derry West by the postal department. George Graham founded the Orange Lodge in Derry West in 1822 and named it Derry West Loyal Orange Lodge No. 10. Unofficially, the lodge was known as Graham's Lodge due to the large number of George's relatives that were involved in its membership. |
