About the Lodge
The Warrant for Loyal Orange Lodge No. 51 was issued on June 18th, 1856 to Michael Cliff at McCrones Corners (later Wilstead). The Lodge appears to have been an Abstinence Lodge as a number of account books show large sums spent on tea, crackers and cheese as opposed to any alcohol.

The Lodge moved to South Lake in April of 1857 and amalgamated with Loyal Orange Lodge No. 650, one of the two South Lake Lodges.

By 1879 or 1880 Lodge No. 51 appears to have moved down the road to Gananoque Station, Ontario. There were a number of changes in membership due to the move.

January 1884 marked the third move for Loyal Orange Lodge No. 51 when it relocated to Gananoque, Ontario.

Derry Loyal Orange Lodge No. 194 received its warrant sometime between 1845 and 1874 and appears to have been absorbed by Loyal Orange Lodge No. 511 by about 1880. It was located in Gananoque, Ontario.
Loyal Orange Lodge No. 511 was warranted on September 17, 1855. By 1889 this lodge appears to have been absorbed by Loyal Orange Lodge No. 51. Loyal Orange Lodge No. 51 amalgamated with Loyal Orange Lodge No. 26 in 1950. Loyal Orange Lodge No. 26, located in Lansdowne Village, was warranted on July 11, 1845. The Lodge was active in Lansdowne until 1982 when it amalgamated with Gowan Loyal Orange Lodge No. 1 in Brockville, Ontario |
