About the Lodge
Built in 1870 as a school, the building was then purchased by the Newbliss Lodge. The building is now a private residence.
Newbliss Loyal Orange Lodge No. 87 was formed in Dack's Tavern in 1835 and in approximately 1850 the Lodge built their hall in Newbliss. This building burned in 1944. In 1949 the Lodge purchased the former Coad's school, a stone building erected in 1875. |
