William Osborne Edwards (1897-1979)

William was born in Dummer Township, Ontario on July 9th, 1897. He enlisted in the Canadian Army in 1918 and served with the 58th Canadian Infantry Battalion in France and England during World War I. He was discharged in 1919 at the end of the War.
He enlisted again in 1940 and served during World War II until his discharge in 1945. William worked for Nepheline Mines for fifteen years, retiring in 1965. He was a Past President of Warsaw Legion Branch 511. He was also a Dummer Township councillor for two years and a former member of Hall’s Glen Orange Lodge. William passed away on September 10, 1979. |
